And if you look at present-day maps, the three names have (just) been preserved along current stretches of the surviving road.

If you scroll down to Bridlesmith Gate, the answer appears to be Yes.

If interested look up www.scenebeforeinnottingham.wordpress.com. The clubs are in the ‘Clubs and Venues’ section.
That's where I found out about Mr Millers

Among his achievements is being married 5 times.

Give us a clue......for those who don't know (which is probably quite a few) where was Mr Millers nightclub ?
I may have just answered my own question. It seems to have been on Bridlesmith Gate and was the same place as The Hippo/Coco Tang/ and various others.

Trent Bridge and the floods on the news this morning. Will another notch be chiselled on the wall?
The Trent here in our Staffs village is covering a few hundred acres. It will eventually all pass under Trent Bridge.
At Trent Bridge this morning, the river is higher than it was on my photo of two days ago.

It's reminded me there's another thread on a similar subject....which also mentions Izal.

I bought that when it was first released. And I still like it today.

If you visit Trent Bridge you will see that the flood heights are marked on the wall near to the pedestrian tunnel. Hard to believe when standing there that the river could reach such heights.
I took this yesterday - it's the stretch of wall with the flood markings, next to Trent Bridge. The footpath has completely disappeared under water.

What used to be a large/medium-sized car a few years ago is now small alongside many EVs.
Drivers who have trouble with spaces in car parks will give up trying and just leave the thing anywhere.

Nice song written by Cole Porter in the 30s....and sung here by the Late Gary Shearston'''
A great version of a great song. I had that on a single when it wasn't cool to like such things.

It's so dark and gloomy a few street lights had come on just after 3pm.

Just love Scotland and Glasgow in Particular.......got on great with the locals who told me Billy Connelly and Gerry Raferty played there in their younger days....
You may or may not know that before they both became better known, Connelly and Rafferty were in a group called The Humblebums.

I was in The Range today and they had a number of Wilko-branded items on sale in various sections. Maybe they're just getting rid of old stock, but it was a surprise to see the name on display.

This is the site of the Locarno/Victoria now - Student accommodation. The Generating Station on the left has survived.

It is neither my wife or my son.
If it's you, why were you in a hanging basket with strangers ?

@benjamin1945 who are they all, Ben? It's like an NS meet up, long before NS.
I'll bet quite a few of the Nottstalgia attendees are older than many of the people in that photo !

5-10 years ago there seemed to be a lot more wandering scrap collectors driving around in battered lorries; they've become a disappearing breed in recent times.

For example, Currys charge £25 to take away your old fridge/washing machine.

It's been mentioned in several old threads....including this one -

Nearly.
You walked down Lister Gate and turned left past C & A into Broad Marsh.

There was a cafe, which is the long white building in the centre of this photo.

I walked up and down Drury Hill many times when I was a kid. It was one of the several possible exit routes out of Broad Marsh bus station.
How's your day?

That's something which I increasingly find as well. People you know are getting more frail and fragile. Even if you think you're still relatively active and mobile, other people seem to be getting older and slower.
