i have been down these shelters back in the late 80s, they lead the golden fleece pub carpark were there used to be a raised entrance like the one on mansfield road. it has now been filled in as far as i know. -
sadly the beechdale dairy is now a housing estate and the old leyland volvo bus depot will also be built on, i live on the 1990s wimpy estate next door and i find it can be a ghost town at night now the dairy and garage has gone. does anybody know what was on the land that my estate (beechdale mews) was built on?

i remember in the 70s-80s having the jones pop van coming round every weekend, i also remember the co-op floats. i did a few weeks work at beechdale dairy and my father in law worked there for about 20 years.

thats how it looked when i worked there 7 years ago, i remember it being a parts department for the vauxhall bedford garage across the road which also was a interesting building (now n.o.e).
