I had to laugh at Melissa's post (#2) and can envisage two boats running side by side full of opposing supporters. They'd be trying to get at each other and falling into the River Trent as they did so...lol. I know it would never happen but wouldn't it be a laugh. Takeshi's Castle comes to find..haha

He may have been a great entertainer, but I believe he's going to get what he deserves. This whole thing came to light after the Jimmy Saville fiasco, It's no different than finding a priest has been kiddy fiddling 40 years ago ! (and some still are)
I'm sorry if my views offend but as a child I was abused by a very good "friend" of my dad's so know what it feels like to be touched in a non appropriate way, but as a child be scared shitless to tell anyone !
(My dad never knew as he would have killed the bloke, and my mum only knew in later life when this low life re entered her life and I had to tell her.)
As for Mr Harris, he has been proven guilty and deserves everything he gets, the same with any offender. I don't think he will get custody though, it'll probably be a suspended sentence.

In the nottingham Post today they are talking about a Ferry' service down the Trent from Queens drive park and ride' to the 'football and cricket grounds" depending on government funding.
I think it could be really good for Nottingham and if approved could be taken alot further for tourism as a whole extending along the Trent.

Ive only been 5 months but it seems much longer,certainly some interesting folk on here.Its made me realise how much my spelling had slipped as ive got older.I am sure that i know some of you from times past but probably only by sight especially the Basford and Bulwell element.
I was born and raised on the old Bestwood est and iam surprised that ive yet to come across anyone else from my old schools Henry Whipple and Padstow .Anyway thanks to you all for the many interesting hours ive wiled away on here,............i must get a life again

SAW a post this morning in what looked like 'Russian,' went out just after and when i got back it had been deleted,did anyone translate it ?
