    Many years ago i was working in Savemore' supermarket in Bulwell,and a real London lad started work there having just moved up,we were having a tea break on his 1st day,and he said to me,"you are a strange lot up here" i said you be ok when you get used to us,he said yes probably,but so far this morning ive been asked for 'chicken duck' Bacon duck' and sausage duck' what sort of bladdy Birds do you have up here ?

    ay up dat 47,i was born on LEYBOURNE and spent all my growing up years living there and ANDOVER,You must have lived very near if not next door to my old classmates Tony LEATHERLAND and Paul Joyce,the only Redmile i remember was a couple of years older than me i think his name was Graham and i think had a funny eye.I was born in 45.does any of that resonate me duck? Also i had many other relatives on Leybourne.

    AS bad as some peoples manners are with their Dogs things have improved no end since i was growing up,i remember Dogs roaming the streets in packs and always having to give them and their "muck" a wide bearth.In those days many people just let their dogs out for the day and they only returned when they got hungry.
