Is just the colour you mean benjamin1945 ?
Morrisons sell duck eggs in packs of six & y6ou can buy them "loose" on Loughborough market.
Odd term that "loose" as well as eggs when at "Marsdens" we also sold "loose" lard, butter, peas and taters.
-
No me"nt any colour, thanks for that bubblewrap,i will look in morrisons today, there were blue ones as well,if i remember right they had a stronger taste than hen eggs.and much bigger.
-
Oh yes there is int there, thanks Rog,

Or hear, Exressions such as "BLOW ME" and "CRIKEY"

Used to sell "Duck eggs" in my days at Marsdens",they were green, never see em in shops now, most probably illegal under EU REGULATIONS.
-
Good job not trying to sell em, cant give em away

Not so at football matches mick,if you watch on tv you see the ground half empty 15 mins before kick off,the pubs surrounding the stadiums are full, then they all cram in with mins to go,its a wonder there hasnt been alot more tragedies.

While clearing my garage out i came across two old sporting trophies, and wondered if anyone could throw any light on their origins, i have no idea even where i got em from.
One is silver plate and inscribed as follows, BILLY KENNEDY, SNOOKER TROPHY, presented 1952,past winners,
1952, N.Eaps
1953, E.Swaby
1954, E.Swaby
1955. R.England
1960. G.Fisher
the other one is not silver plate, and reads as follows, THE E.C POLLIT CRICKET TROPHY, for presentation to the winners of the annual cricket match between Pleasley mills and Viyella house.
with them being local to Notts i thought they might ring a bell with someone, i am not looking to sell them, but if they have sentimental value you can have them.!

I Agree DavidW,YOU NEED TO BE SELECTIVE,but the shoes i bought must have been over £100 when new.We very seldom play our cds now and will be taking them to a charity shop,
where abouts in Cornwall do you live,my wifes family are nearly all in Devon,
-
I love browsing the charity shops something i never thought i would do,i find nowadays i very rarely need new clothes (except pants) and love buying bits of clothing cheap, obviously Ties are top of my list,
in the past few months ive also bought a w)aistcoat, hat, scarf and gloves, but my best buy was on Mapperley top (help the aged i think) a pair of hand made Italian shoes £30.
oh dont forget today is Palm sunday, wear summat new!

The greatest thing i am finding about being retired is spending time watching my youngest Grandchilds development,we have him 3 to five days a week as my daughter and son in law work full time.we have seen his 1st crawl and 1st steps to his 1st words, which for some reason all begin with G.
Gangan (grandad)Gan (granma) Goo,Gon,Gondun (garden)Gat (cat) Gen(again)Ganna (banana),and i think its Gate ,sorry Great!
and i wonder what his 1st memories will be? GOOD I HOPE.
