Being a 'Mod' sums the 60's up for me Catfan. They were the most obnoxious bunch of gits around at the time. Violent,nasty self opinionated 'dedicated followers of fashion', no thank you, I'm glad the Rockers gave them a few kickings, they deserved it.
I was never a 'Mod' or 'Rocker' or even obnoxious,violent or self opinionated,............but always a dedicated 'follower of fashion,.....oh yes and sometimes a bit 'leary'

Watched Sammy Davies on BBC 4 last night,.what a performer,..think it was from the 70s,made me feel old,he would be 90 now,the great Dean Martin 98,and old blue eyes 100.

Left the Old Bestwood est,in 1967 and Padstow school in 1960,........since travelled and lived all over,last moved 6 months ago,half way between Bulwell and Hucknall,...........only dawned on me a week or two ago,that the line of trees on the horizon that i see each morning on looking out the bedroom window are the same ones that stood at Padstow school on Bestwood est. when i were a lad,.........talk about 'back to your roots'.
