That sodding 'upspeak' been working with 4 others who all use it,its really drove me mad,in the end i did'nt want to engage in conversation with em,plus loads of 'hey guys' 'oh my gods' 'absoluteys' yea for sures' and 'oh yea cool' oh fab' 'awsome'............sorry to go on just had a full day of it,need a stiff drink.
Sorry to quote mesen,but i forgot to add,........that it was almost a joy when a 'shoplifter' told me to go .... myself in lovely Anglo Saxon terms,bless him,!!

What a sad story mercury,unfortunately in days only just gone by,women were forced to suffer the indigaturies of beatings and the like because divorce was such adirty word,say what you like about modern society at least its better than what these unfortunate women had to put up with.

don't look down on shorter people or up to taller ones,i love nice people and detest assholes,i'm nice to everyone and get nasty with folk who don't afford me the same respect,i like taking the mick and more importantly like folk doing it back,to laugh at yourself is in my opinion a great virtue,.............just my thoughts.-

I remember reading the quotes of Patience Strong in the 50's in either mums woman's mags, or dads Daily Express.
I thought then that she was a patronising do gooder !!!!
I still do, as I've got no patience !
BR I BOUGHT her book in Exeter cathedral a few years ago and i love most (not all) of her quotes i love reading things like that,just makes you think a bit from the norm.I like quotes in general,got a book of Latin ones,might start using that.lol.

Many moons ago, like 1965, first trip abroad, Lloret de Mar, we were picked up from the airport by bus, and dropped off at various hotels along the coast. Going through a small village along the way, and looking out the window, I had the most peculiar feeling of having been there before. Don't know what the name of the place was, and never had such a feeling since. I also feel that in a previous life, I was shot. Weird eh. As for coming back again, I shall be taller in my next life and reach the top shelf in suoer6markets!
