  5. I am a happy geezer and it has nothing to do with where I live. I am cash poor, have a clapped out car and not a lot of money coming in, also not in best of health. BUT! I have a lovely missis. 2 sons to be proud of and 5 lovely grand kids. And they are all in reasonable health.

contentment bilbraborn, who could ask for anything more,as the song goes, NICE ONE !

  6. A survey has made Nottm the 10th happiest to live in the UK,It got me thinking that all the bad press we get doesnt really bother us,i lived down south for 10 years and have spent time in most parts of the country, there are some lovely places and people in the UK,BUT NOTTM always pulled me back its the roots thing.and family.

Having said that, the survey only refered to the UK,if i got the chance to live on a hillside in southern Spain,

I WOULD BE OFF LIKE A SHOT. :hand:

  7. talking of Barbers,i bought my 1st 3 pack at the one in Bulwell near the crossings corner of bestwood rd.

i had purchased a shirt in Bulwell town, and decided to get my hair cut, while in the chair i was trying to pluck up the courage to ask for the said item.anyway i did,and left the shop as i was walking up st albans rd i heard a shout of Oi,feeling guilty of buying my 3 pack i started to run and heard oi again i turned round and it was the barber waving my shirt saying YOU LEFT THIS

  8. I went to Ron's once under instructions from my mother. I never went again, he was a strange character to say the least. He was the sort dad warned me about. If he were around today, he'd probably drive a pink Smart car.

before i read above,i was going to say i think my best mate Barry from school worked there early 60s,saying nowt now  WHERE WAS IT?
