Many moons ago I remember my uncle, who was a driver on the Brown and Cream West Bridgford buses, telling me that depending on how the conductor rang the bell gave instructions to the driver. 1 ring was "Stop" - 2 rings was "Go" and 3 rings was "Do Not Stop".

I was looking through some of my old books and found a Ready Reference one. It includes a Perpetual Calendar from which you can find out the day of the week you were born from your birth date. I'd forgotten I'd got it and now find it fascinating. Do you know what day of the week you were born?

The problem with older people (and anyone really) that they don't have their debit card pin number written down and in their wallet/purse. Also they haven't got one of the "Touch & Pay"cards.
