mick2me 3,033
Yes indeedy, Six should be enough to take runners off and create more.
Pixie 162
got last years strawberry plants flowering at the moment, alot more than what i had last year. How would i create more from the runners?
mick2me 3,033
Pin the runners down into the ground, new plants will form and root. Replace old plants when they get a bit scruffy and tired.
MELTONSTILTON 452
Around here not many peaple grow strawberrys, it is because we live in an area where we can pick wild strawberrys, around here they grow all over the place, they are that common they are classed as a weed and can soon cover a garden if not kept in check..............But they taste good............ What is the point of a strawbery that tastes of pineapple?............ Or am I missing somthing

Compo 10,328
I hadn't though tto try Mick. I will give it a wee shotty this autumn. You need two different varieties in order to get fruit, so it would have to be cuttings frfom two ....I do have two varieties though If successful I will gladly let you have a couple. Pixie 162
Speaking of strawberries, my plant is on its second year and iv got tons of berries growing this summer. The problem is, they're allways so tiny and white inside... They don't taste like strawberry, they're very sweet, are these a specific type of strawberry and safe to eat or has something gone wrong?
