I found this in searching today LOS ANGELES, CA, January 23, 2006 - Carole King is slated to performed at the "2006 Person of the Year" event, which will be held on February 6th in Los Angeles. Every year, MusiCares recognizes an individual to honor who has made extraordinary contributions in the field of music, as well as remarkable commitments to philanthropic and humanitarian causes. This year's honoree is James Taylor. In addition to Carole, this star-studded event will include performances from Bruce Springsteen, Sting, Paul Simon, the Dixie Chicks and many more.
