carni 10,094
There is a programme on Channel 4 about Television in the 1970s from 11pm-1200pm. Could be interesting?
Rob.L 1,091
This was on the other day. The trouble with these programmes is that they look back with a current sense of morality and outrage at how things were done then*. Back in the 70s, Benny Hill was funny, the Black & White Minstrels were entertaining (for some), Samantha Fox appeared topless on Page 3 aged 16, and nobody gave a damn. Most of us have grown up a bit since then. * Whether then was the 1970s, the 1920s, the 1600s, or whenever.
carni 10,094
I have to agree Rob. I was very disappointed. I didn't find it entertaining at all. If any of the comedy made me laugh in the 70s, my sense of humour must have changed so much, it didn't even cause a smile last night! Thumbs down for that one then.
