Talking of Santa Fe' I was driving on the Freeway today, listening to my favorite oldies station 'K-Earth 101 Los Angeles'

:D That ones easy, the lead singer was EDDIE GRANT , the hit at the time was BABY COME BACK and it was their only number one, and the year was 3rd July 1968, he also had a solo no1 in 1982 which was I DON'T WANNA DANCE . When he went solo, he enjoyed much success in the 80s, and charted with a remix in 2001 :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D B)

They were a great group, I think most are dead now.

I saw then in 88 at the Theatre Royal, just after the realease of 'Loco in Acapulco'.

Not Motown but still a great tune :D Also live on stage was the great Saxophonist

playin 'Roadrunner' 'Shotgun' etc. WHO WAS THAT ?
