Notts_Landing 6
Hey everyone! I was just wondering if anyone had any history about the building(s) that now houses the National Videogame Arcade? Thanks

Cliff Ton 10,481
That's exactly what I was just wondering......and looking for !! The area which is often referred to as the top of Hockley, although as Enigma says, it's actually Carlton Street.
mary1947 2,086
I remember a little about Carton St Hockley. Going from the George Hotel (now called something else) there used to be a curtain shop, and a ladies under wear shop. Later the shop was a hairdresser's called "Tim's ?" now moved to Derby Road. Facing the curtain shop was a tobacconist a coffee bar, later there was a job centre going a bit further down towards Hockley Gee-Dee toys and Models which I think stood on the corner of Heathcoat street. There was also a music shop selling Drums, trumpets, ect. I think Carton Street went from the top of Hockley to Stoney St. after the job centre New College Nottingham moved in. If I'm not correct then I'm sorry this is just what I can remember.
