I can remember a woodyard being in the corner of the site near the Derby road end, could it have been Fitchet and Woolacot's or have I completley lost the plot? Bip 88 Posted March 18, 2007 Report Share Posted March 18, 2007 How appropriate for a wood firm to move into new premises on a road named Willow. I too remember that wood firm being there. When I was a nipper I played on the park that use to be on there, me mum tells me when she was young she was a member of the Dunkirk pipe band, who practiced on that piece of land in front of the wood firm.
