Sod that.

I left to get away from that stuff.I hate it.

Give me a nice warm beach any day!!!!

Baz

I know exactly what you mean baz bloody stuff.

Give me a warm day with the light aromatic scent of diesel/petrol fumes wafting over from the A52 mixed with the heady smell of burnt chip oil from our local Chinese chip shop, all those smells put together make me apreciate how lucky I am not to be stuck on that hill side amongest all that snow.. :sorry:

Bip.

I think it looks lovely, but it's just a wee fluttering compared to what

we get in winter.

I don't think these city slickers really appreciate it do you.

Have you ever been to Whistler or Banff Caz?

That was our first snow of the year Anne,we get heaps more than that too,but I wouldn't think we get anywhere near what you guys get.

No haven't neen to either of those places, but the kids who come to Victoria to work the ski season always head off to Canada after our season has finished.

I know of someone locally whose dad owns something calle Big white? i reckon it's called. He & his Aussie gilfriend are on an extended holiday, about 2 yrs now, over there working for the family business.

I'd love to see a picture later in the season.

I was in Banff BC last year and everywhere I went it seemed the

whole place was run by competant Aussie kids.

I'm talking ski runs, stores, restaurants.

You can't live in Banff unless you have work there or are a tourist.

I think it's the same in Whistler.

They have a ball..work hard and play hard!

I bet Big White is somewhere in British Columbia.

Sounds much the same as here ,they earn heaps of cash and spend lots of cash, but what an experience!

We have our opening weekend 9th June,so all the snow bunnies will be out in their designer gear, not much time for skiing though too much partying to do,in fact I don't think to date theres enough snow for skiing, but it's coming i'm sure thumbsup

yeah really great. Don't know about you Anne but I reckon the Aussies & the Canadians are very similar in personality & humour.

I have a bit to do with a company in Concorde Ontario & one of the guys there has a brill sense of humour, mind you I think he has British heritage that might be something to do with it!!

Yes you're right we are similar...but just look where our roots come from.

Canada is one big melting pot though..I guess like Australia..we are both in young countries compared to the UK.

Not much history here me duck..and what they class antique is

laughable.

I heard a funny saying a few days ago...well..it made me smile anyway.

"You can tell an Englishman a mile off...but you can't tell him much"

I thought that was great...then agen I have the weird English sense of humour!
