the old rose pub, radford

Recommended Posts

noticed this pub looking a little sorry for itself while driving by a couple of months ago, in fact the pub in its demolished landscape reminded me of pictures of the (shameful) redevelopment of areas of nottingham in the 60's/70's

i only ever had a pint once in this pub whilst on route to the variety club, which was about ten years ago-ish

Thanks for that Phil.

We always welcome images such as these.

Not just are we loosing buildings, we are loosing pub names as well.

New pubs do not have such names, and old pubs are rapidly being given

a more trendy name.

Many of these old names are routed in the history of the area, or in English history.

Keep em coming Phil
