mick2me 3,033
I needed to replace 2 front tyres so I rang round for quotes. To replace with Mitchellin £160. They also quoted me for Budget but I told Them dont bother, I dont use Budget tyres. Rang 'Angry Al' a local one man band, with very modern equiped workshop. He gets all his customers by return, or word of mouth. 2 X MAXXIS tyres, (Not a budget make) total including all extras £70 for two tyres. If anyone else had quoted that price or a name I did not know, I would not have been interested. Need Tyres See Al, but watch out for his sarcasm. Ashley 288
I always thought name Podders came from Podder Lane? theres still a scrapyard (or 2) still there, mainly lorries etc,
denshaw 2,877
I used to use Mapperley car spares on Podder lane, it went years ago. It's cheaper and more convenient now to use places like the Valve shop for car spares.
