  1. Hello everyone, long time no see I checked out Churchfield Terrace like Ashley suggested, in my search for Ken Smith from Radford in the 1980s. But unfortunately he doesn't reside there. I even phoned there head office, and they haven't heard of him and told me he doesn't live there either. So I'm still searching for him. Thanks to everyone who's been helping me, I'm sure I'll find him sometime.
  2. Thank you everyone, you have all been very helpful. I'll keep on searching for a few more years, hopefully finding him one day
  3. Thanks guys, that's the one. But I still can't track down Ken Smith who used to live there in the 1980s. I was given one location that he may be at, from what Ashley said a while back. But unfortunately I've not been able to find Ken yet.. Although I will pop back over to the residential home this week and ask one of the wardens, as the people who live there don't know of any Ken Smith's living there. I know that the flat above the cafe, was his last known address in 1985. But all I have is this info, Ken Smith 1+3 Bentinck Road (Then he's gone over the D, with a B or vice versa)?. Radfo
  4. Hello everyone, I don't suppose anyone has any information about the cafe on Bentinck Road, during the 1980s. As I am trying to find out more about it and the bloke who used to run it/live above it. It's to do with my search for Ken Smith, and that I'll be going to see if he's at a certain place in Nottingham tomorrow, as I have been ill lately and have had to put of possibly tracking him down I have been given a possible location for him, so fingers crossed. Anyway, the cafe on Bentinck Road in the 1980s, I just wanted some more info on it, if anyone has any? or photos would be great, th
  5. Just remembered about Ashley's post! I'm going over this week to see if he is there! :D as lots has happened since 2010. I forgot all about your message about Ken Smith. thanks for that, I'll post on here how I get on lol
  6. Hello Everyone, It's nice to be back Nope, I left Parkview Court many years ago, back in 2010 or early 2011.. it was a long time ago. LoL After that I lived in Cambridgeshire for a couple of years while I was working down there, then I moved back to Nottingham and have lived here ever since. I'm now back in my home town and loving every moment of it, as I was single for many years.. but then I re-connected with my childhood sweetheart only last year, and we've been enjoying life ever since. Life is good :D
  7. Hello everyone, long time no post. LoL Since my last post on here, I've been up to all sorts of things. Re-connecting with my childhood sweetheart and planning a great future together. Also, I'm still trying to locate Ken Smith formally of Radford, Nottingham. But with no luck as of yet in finding him or anyone who knows or knew of him. I don't know much about him, apart from that he used to live above the shops on Bentinck Road, Radford in the 1980s. Apart from that, I don't know much. Anyway, it's good to be back.

  11. Hi everyone, not been on here for awhile as I've been settling in to this new place its going great.. apart from finding brick dust in places...small piles of it..lol well, I suppose thats normal in a building of this age? which is 1837est. (I would assume its normal for a building of this age? what do you guys think? lol also the fireplace brickwork is crumbling slightly at the bottom corners, (letting agents couldn't care less, as they are getting money for the place, so I guess.. out of sight, out of mind..is there thinking. But we do like this place, as its the first place I've been i
  12. Hello everyone, long time no see. I'm back! :D I used to live in radford for awhile in the early 80s, just after I was born..(1982) and many years later, after traveling about quite abit, like a boomerang some would say, I have come back to my hometown of Nottingham, and got a house with my hubby to be.. in.. Radford! yey! Now, I have seen the posts on here about our house.. & yes, I do know its history..& what went on around here with those burials for suicide victims and the like, right outside.. where the cars go by.. Everything is fine here, and nothing goes 'bump' in the nig
  13. After months & months of re-search in to my family history of the Sandersons, who were originally from Basford in Nottingham. I have traced our family back to before 1837... only thing is, I havent read my notes for awhile, so I'm going to go off memory here. The main thing I'd like to do, is to try and find decendants of 'William H Sandersons children' as him and his wife had a large family. as I'm sure that there are still many out there in Nottingham, who are connected to him. Once I've re-read my family research notes, I'll post more on here, as I had to put the notes away so my
