  1. The oil companies have got the power and the money to the point of corruption. Nobody would have to worry about oil in other countries if cheap power was made available to all. It would benefit all except the oil companies and maybe even help end a few wars, who knows? If the economic climate is better in the future, maybe they will release it? Myself, I doubt it, because so much money and power is at stake. Sad really.
  2. Very good !clapping! PS Finally found the other smilies to the left of my screen, out of view until I use the arrow !laughing!

  7. They seem to have lots of life and spirit in them.... and there are quite a few mixed messages within that video link. Worth a look....cheers lol !cheers!
  8. A good group in their time though never saw them live. Really liked 'My Generation'. Made me laugh because Mum used to tut at them and the song. Roger Daltry played a good role, opposite Twiggy in 'The Little Match Girl', a TV Christmas adaptaton of the fairy story, quite a few years ago now. 2 years later Cliff Rchard had a No. 1 hit with one of the songs from that adaptation - 'Mistletoe and Wine' - great drama, sad yet so many good songs from Roger, Twiggy and others.
  9. And one that I really loved too... ..'Heard it Through the Grapevine' Marvin Gaye Where that gorgeous, young lad puts his 501 jeans into the washer. Great advert !! Ayup, I still remember the lad's face but not his name no1
  10. Ayup mick2me, Been wondering about the 'Little Yellow Spider' song for ages!! Like it so much, I always stop what I'm doing to listen to it. Saw your title and typed in lyrics I could remember - 'hey little snapping turtle', and there it was, the same song by Dehandra Banhart think it was? Never heard of him/her, but catchy tune. !cheers!

  21. Hi there. bought heck of a lot of records in the 60's. Mainly Elvis before the Beatles and after them, and the whole Merseybeat sound, inc. Billy Fury and Gerry and the Pacemakers. This list is a great combination though. Loved doing the twist and listening to Walk on By.....wait on the corner.....hm! Also liked some of the others too. Memories....dontcha just love em?
