    Just saw the link about Valentino 's on Alfreton Rd. We always used to visit. You catered for my 40th birthday on a very hot night in June 1984. You and Alex were always very kind to us and we loved your food. Went a few times to Redcliffe on Trent.   Good times !!! Where are you in Italy ?       Jeff & Ruth

      PS sorry it wasn't L 'Angolo which we opened in 1994, it must have been Puccini.

      Yes we remember you but I think you are a bit confused as to where he was. Alex has never worked for Carlo at Valentino's. I didn't participate in your birthday party but I remember Alex doing it and we had opened L'Angolo at Radcliffe. Alex wishes to be remembered to you and he says he also remembered your mother, father and brother from when he worked at Conti's in 1968.

      Valentinos wasn't our restaurant it was Carlo Slaviero's a friend of ours. We had L'Angolo at Radcliffe on Trent and a few others in Nottingham. La Buca, Puccini, and a partner with Carlo on Trent Bridge. What is your surname, it would be nice to remember you.

      We live in the north of Italy about 50 km from Turin.
