Cliff Ton 10,547
I'm glad this has been pointed out, but I wonder how many people will actually take it in. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/british-public-wrong-about-nearly-everything-survey-shows-8697821.html
TYAFANS 26
If we knew all the facts, we'd all stand a better chance - don't you think!
Rob.L 1,091
I wonder how the Daily Mail or the Daily Express would report this.
loppylugs 8,429
Who was it said, "there's lies, damned lies, and statistics."? Only thing I have observed on my infrequent visits back is that far more people seem to live in fear of crime, and areas of some cities seem to have become no go. I could go into more details but then it would start to sound like an attack from an ex pat and I have no desire to do that. I do not trust the mainstream media in any form. It has mostly become a whore performing for the highest bidder, that is true here as well. I am very pessimistic for the future of Western civilization in its present form. mudgie49 401
If you live in an area that has a high immigrant population, it is doubtful you would believe the low stat's. I remember visiting cities in the UK,it looked as if the immigrants were 75% of the population.I am convinced the majority of people see violent crime on the increase, and they have a fear of the rise. NewBasfordlad 3,599
Data like this would be more useful and believable if we knew what questions were asked and how they were phased. Without that info its pretty much useless and could be as bent as a nine bob note. Colin
Rob.L 1,091
Your dead right on that Mudgie, its the concentration in certain areas of the UK that stand out. And the almost complete absence in other areas that tends to go unnoticed.
Cliff Ton 10,547
I wonder how the Daily Mail or the Daily Express would report this. I had a look through their websites and, amazingly, they didn't seem to mention it. Awkwardly inconvenient.
