Bramcote 2
My father was an armament inspector presumably at the ROC in the Nottingham area when I was born in 1940. I don't seem to be able to find any information from around that time. Records seem to be plentiful around the 70s and I am wondering if records were either lost or destroyed. Does anyone have any information from around that time? Anything would be appreciated.
Cliff Ton 10,487
I'm guessing (hoping) that ROC stands for Royal Observer Corps ? Have you looked in the Military section of Find my Past ? http://search.findmypast.co.uk/search-united-kingdom-records-in-military-armed-forces-and-conflict?_ga=1.39495587.1643695154.1442584268

The Pianoman 1,535
If he was an armament inspector he was probably at the ROF. Royal Ordnance Factory.
