I used to play backgammon in a number of places through the 1960s and 70s.

This game was occasionally available to play in gambling clubs where the club would put up its best player (often one of the croupiers)

I played sometimes in pubs and more often at peoples houses.

Anyone out there play?

Wanna game sometime?

I've never played Backgammon. The games that I play with the youngest grandchildren are Yahtzee, Monopoly, Draughts and Mancala. I do play Chess occasionally with the 5 year old but I'm no good at it and he usually beats me!! I get bored with Monopoly once you have to start mortgaging property etc so I often set a limit of half an hour or an hour for a game then you add up all your assets and cash. I used to like playing Othello but don't know where it's gone - must have lent it out to someone.
