Oztalgian 3,298
The death of Roger Whittaker occurred on 13 September 2023. He was 87. Many, like me, will remember his deep baritone voice singing folksy, easy listening songs, consumate guitar skills and for his amazing whistling. Thank you for the many hours of enjoyment of your musical skills R.I.P. Roger Henry Brough Whittaker Some of my favourites are :- What were yours?

Deepdene Boy 642
Back in the seventies, I thoroughly enjoyed listening to Roger Whittaker, although it wasn't cool for a young teenager to admit it. Now I appreciate his work even more. As well as his rich, mellow voice his gift as a lyricist to be able to paint pictures with his words is up there with the best. RIP.
