There used to be Conker, sorry, Horse Chestnut tree, in the park at the back of my old junior school (St Pauls, Carlton Hill) One Autumn day one of the schools own hard nuts (Andrew Cockayne) failed to turn up. It later transpired that he had been walking under the Horse Chestnut tree, on his way in to school, when some even bigger boys were lobbing bricks at the Conkers, and WHACK!!! copped for an unfortunate one, requiring a few stitches at the local infirmary. He took great pains (literally) in showing them off to all and sundry, when what should happen a couple of days later when he was walking home from school?? Yup WHACK!!! he copped another unfortunate one courtesy of yours truly this time, lobbing a ruddy great stick at the Tree. Off to the infirmary for a matching set on the other side of his head!!

Sorry Andy it was an accident ....Honest

I hope cotton wool is recycleable, there sure is going to be a lot when they finally unwrap us of it!!!

At least the Tories are good for something and common sense prevails at last....And I see on the same day its announced that Teachers are once more being able to "touch" kids at school, good for them, now lets have the cane and strap back as well as chucking the blackboard rubber at unruly pupils!!!

Owdtite.
