I can't remember the names of the many clubs I tried out while I was there. I spent my summers in Nottm. in the 80's, and the only ones I can remember are The Ritzy, and one that was called Hollywood and Vine. (Not the Hollywood and Vine you're probably thinking of Mick!!) I wonder if anyone in that club knew that it was named after an intersection in L.A.?? Probably not!!

Well, we'll let you off the hook this time!! I'm not a beer drinker myself, but any little beer company is better than the big ones!! We have beer on tap at our house at all times, and you'll never see a keg of Bud, Coors, or Miller! Currently it's holding Sierra Nevada, a local micro-brewery that my husband describes as "Just Hoppy enough without being too hoppy"

I found out Belvoir Castle has a country fair planned for that weekend. I sent them an e-mail to check out what is included in that. Thanks for the tip!! I've been to Belvoir Castle once many years ago, and my mom has a friend who knows a butler there named Jeffrey! Small world B)

I was in Nottingham this time last year, and I don't remember seeing all the horror Flat Cap keeps referring to. Maybe I just managed to stay away from these drug and scum bag infested areas. I did walk around near the square a bit, and I did see a selection of low-life people, but I also saw normal everyday people. It's the same in most cities. That's why I live in the subburbs!!

It's so sad to hear you guys talk about how horrible Nottingham is! For years that I spent my summers there, it was my favorite place to be (most recently was 15 years ago) We would rent a flat in The Park and each morning I would walk up past the castle and down the other side, have tea in the city center and watch people walk by, every Saturday I would hop in my friends cab and go horse riding in the forest. It was lovely! I wouldn't trade those summers in for anywhere else. You'll have to excuse me, I'm being NOTTSTALGIC!!

It's ok Bip, I'll straighten you out. Fry's Electronics is a store that sells guess what? They are well known in Cali, and usually have pretty good deals. Mail in rebates are kind of like coupons, except after you purchase the item, you mail in a rebate form and the company who made the item sends you money back instead of giving you a discount at the store. And what kind of things on the free paper could catch my attention? You were right with your suggestion, but recently it was news of some idiot in a Cessna plane was doing tricks and lost control crashing into a house in my neighborhood.

They just throw ours onto our driveway. It goes from there straight to the recycle bin unless something on the cover catches my attention.

Now that reminds me Mick! Does anyone know of a jousting show (other that the dinner show in London) that we might take the kids to see while we're there? (July 25-Aug 1) They would love that!
