  2. Just one question, why did he appear with a bunch of gladiolas?; seriously though I will give him some time.
  3. You must have been well into Morrissey at the time: 'Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now'.
  4. You like Morrisey (is this how you spell it?) Stu? And I thought you were a Mod!
  5. Falcon pathetically comical, all that room yet chooses to be a: 'bird on the edge wearing a designer dress' Gorgeously comical the chicks!
  6. 'Two little dickie birds sitting on a wall one named Peter one named Paul Fly away Peter fly away Paul come back Peter come back Paul'
  7. Now here's a character on the front of a book that I instantly recognise: it's Dr Seuss's books from when I worked - for years - in the City's libraries. Must have processed loads of these books.
  8. Beefsteak, 'Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now'; if it's any consolation this was my son's favourite record and he was all of eighteen!
  9. Well said poohbear! I had noticed that but I don't mind, having a fascination for steam trains myself.
  10. Thanks for reminding me mudgie: Frank Ifield, who was he?
  11. I can just imagine mudgie: anything like a mature gentleman - a la mode George Hamilton - with a superb tan?
  12. Remember: Eric Sykes in his regular half-hour situation comedy with his sister Hattie (Jacques)? Anthony Hancock in his regular situation comedy with Sid (James)? Such popular programmes, everything used to stop whilst a vast majority of the country's population got comfy in front of the TV. So popular were they, they were always topics of discussion the next day.
  13. 'The Good Old Bad Old Days' 'Yesterday' 'The Last Dance' 'I Remember You' 'God Only Knows'
  14. I've never fancied a pickled egg, especially those you'd see in huge jars in Fish and Chip shops. To me they always seemed as though they were there for decoration and looked as though they'd well passed their shelf life by almost turning yellow.
  15. 'babbar': I wonder if the word derives from baby? A language made up by adults to make it easier for the baby / young child to understand. Remember?: 'bobbo' when meaning a horse, or tatas when meaning a walk?
  16. We finally got there! Lovely photograph loppylugs. And they say women can waffle.
  17. Lovely photographs of your lad poohbear. 'Amongst Nature has always been my pleasure'. When writing I always use capital letters for 'Mother Nature' because she really is a Queen.
  18. I'm glad I remember Bill Owen when he sat on the panel of 'What's My Line'.
  19. Bliss Pics; don't anybody sit on my throne!
  20. Ashley, what an incredible view: Newfield Road. The houses tumbling down the road and the train cutting across the suburban landscape. I can easily imagine you climbing up the steep embankment. How lucky you were to visit one of the houses, I would have done too with trains running down the bottom of the garden! It's the kind of photograph you never get tired of looking at, you can always find something new.
  21. MESSAGE FOR MUDGIE: Don't worry Mudgie I'll put a photo on soon; you'll have to put one on too. I hope you look like a film star because I do: an ageing one!!
