  1. I too was born in 56 and went to Greenwood Junior so must have been there at the same time
  2. I left in 71 but had the same teachers, they was all good, but I liked Mr Fletcher too
  3. I seem to remember mum used to get milk in bottles you had to use a bottle opener to get the metal top off! Dont see milk in proper bottles now either.

  6. I went Windmill lane infants, then to Greenwood Juniors and then on to Edale girls school. Was there for only 1 year then we moved over to Greenwood Dale and left in 1971.
  7. 'Its lookin a bit black over Bills mothers,' I still wonder who Bill was!
  8. Our school dentist was Rosehill up Carlton Road. I only knew I was going if I got home from school at lunchtime and didnt get any dinner!! Mum used to think i would worry too much during the morning if I knew lol. All I can remember of the place was the horrible big black mask that gassed you and sitting at the rows of white sinks to spit out the blood, yuk. But at least i used to get a small prezzie

  11. Blimey, I remember the garden parties at the Vicarage!. I went to Windmill lane school from around 1960 and a couple of times took part in the Rose Queen pagent which was during the garden party. Hapy days
