  1. BulwellBrian, # 4 ....... Wouldn't 2 parts Hydrogen and 1 part Oxygen be water? I failed Chemistry O Level getting on for 50 years ago but that looks like H2O to me? Don't laugh you lot, I just want to be educated here!
  2. John Holmes is still at Radio Nottingham, he presents the Sunday morning show.
  3. Thank you Dave for the instructions, all I need to do now is go through my tea chest of photos, well not really but it's a big plastic box that big because when we moved house 10 years ago I gathered packets of photos from all over the house and threw them into this box and we've never looked inside it since then!
  4. "Yes definitely ........" as said by footballers several times during a post-match interview on the box
  5. No Trevor we're just outside Cannes in Mandelieu la Napoule.
  6. Well the boys look Ok around the head, but I personally don't remember the lads wearing Harris Tweed jackets, I can only recall the lads wearing denim jackets, leather coats and suits.
  7. Same pic RGR. I do think us Nottingham girls had a lot more style than this lot....... they look so fat and frumpy!
  8. Well I don't know RGR, I just hope I didn't dress like this bunch when I was 15/16. I think (hope) I was a lot 'cooler' than that ......
  9. Glaisdalelad, I can just see you little lads on the bridge, running from one side to the other making sure you get the train numbers and details correct. Good post!
  10. Oh dear, I meant slunk off to our hotel room. 5-2, well done France eh?
  11. No chance, can't bring ourselves to do that, we've slunk off go our hotel room.
  12. It is Benjamin, 5 nil now, lol. In actual fact it's been an exhausting few days !!
  13. My excuse is I don't know how to post pics ;-).
  14. Bit depressing for us though ....... here in S of France and seeing France winning their latest game 3-0, so far.
  15. Hear hear Mudgie! At least most of us on here can remember '66 !!
  16. Think RGR had gone to Canada by then ;-)
  17. Watched that game on French TV. Strangely it's not so bad hearing we've lost when it's in French!
  18. Bilbraborn, that's so sad but just be grateful that you visited him before it was too late. We're thinking about you and his family.
  19. RGR, what did you mean about 'wannabes'? Most of us teenagers in the mid 60's spent all our pocket money on clothes, records and entrance to clubs. If we went the Mod route we went to the Dungeon and probably hung around the Square. If we decided to be Rockers ..... well I don't know, because I wasn't one, haha! It's not right to call those kids back then 'wannabes', it was a wonderful time to be growing up, a fantastic time to be a teenager and a great time for us folk of a certain age to be discussing now on this brilliant Nottstalgia site.
  20. It's absolutely true Mgread! Looked about as stupid as the jeans worn very low-slung by a lot of the lads today.
  21. I enjoy watching lots of different sports including cricket. I spent many happy days at Trent Bridge as a child, with my dear Daddy, and since moving back to Nottingham a few years ago I've enjoyed a few days down there, mainly international matches. It wouldn't do for us all to like the same sports, we'd never get in the ground!!
  22. Do you mean the bloomers mgread1200?!!!!
  23. Bilbraborn, so very sorry to read your sad post. I suppose the majority of us Nottstalgians are getting to the age where we will lose good friends due to sickness as well as old age. Remember the good times you've had with your friend, those memories will remain with you for ever, to make you smile.
