  1. Happy birthday to all have a lovely day. God bless.
  2. Thanks for the link Urban Explorer! I've liked your page on FB. Look forward to seeing your posts!
  3. Hey there Pianoman! Wow! You never know!! We quite possibly could be haha!
  4. Thanks so much guys. I've been using the resources at the library Cliff Ton and have borrowed some books to read :D And thanks for all the tips Piggy/Babs. Unfortunately all of my Grandparents have passed away. My Mother's parents died in '89 and '90 before I was born. However my Dad's father did an online family tree which I've managed to gain access too! He got back to 1830 so I'm lucky in that sense!
  5. Thanks a bunch!! I will definitely take my notebook! Will look for opening times online
  6. Hey there! I've heard everyone that attended really loved the school. Was your wife from Radford/Lenton?
  7. Hey again! Strangely enough all the info I've found so far links all my relatives to the Radford area and it's also where I still live. I've not been to the archives yet. Not 100% sure how to get there? But I do plan on it at some point! Have you been on the British Genealogy forum? They're very helpful in knocking down others brick walls!
  8. Thanks Cliff Ton! Weirdly enough there is a photo of my Grandmother on there from the 1930's!
  9. Hey guys! Think this may be a long shot but it's worth a try! My Mum has told me many stories about an old school and work friend she used to have. Her name was Janet McCulloch (spelling could be wrong) and she attended Cottesmore Secondary School in Radford/Lenton with my Mother between somewhere between, 1968-1972ish. If anyone has any info on this lady or of the school during that era it'd be greatly appreciated! P.S. Sorry if I've posted in the wrong place?!
  10. The Beatles - Yesterday Faith Hill - There You'll Be Jim Reeves - Danny Boy
  11. Only Fools and Horses has to be everyone's all time favourite surely?! So many hilarious and memorable scenes! Although I wasn't overly fussed on the sketch they did for Sports Relief this year... I also love Benidorm with a passion although the earlier seasons with Johnny Vegas in were so much better than the more recent ones. I also think Mel was a huge loss to the show
  12. Whatever has happened to that plane there is something extremely dodgy about it all. God willing all the passengers are okay though!
  13. It was God awful guys and a complete embarrassment. Glad I didn't pay £35 to go and watch them in the flesh!
  14. Hey there. Also doing my family tree at the moment and most of my family are from the Radford area. Would be interesting to see any correlations as I have seen the name Ada pop up a few times also
  15. Haha! The long queues in them would make them a hell of a lot more entertaining if they did Thanks Benjamin!! I won't hold my breath! And of course I love the old humor, I'm easily amused :D
  16. Very likely. I went to watch them play Doncaster last Saturday and it didn't look promising Let's hope they can beat Derby tomorrow! I'll be watching in the Bank in Market Square with the family
  17. I'm having the same trouble as Stephen, can't seem to add myself to the map :/
