A mate of mine worked at Way Ahead,I remember going to Reading Festival on one of their trips in 1983,the tickets cost about £8:50 back then.I went for a job there when I left school in 1985 but nothing came of it.
One of my brothers lived in the Park in the early/mid 1970s.He likes to say that turning up with his furniture on the back of one of my Uncles milk floats got some funny looks from the neighbours.
I realise that this is an old thread but my first job was also at Attenboroughs.I worked there from 1985-1990.They had stopped sending people to college by then so no chance of ever qualifying as a dental technician,I was a lab assistant.I didnt have to make the tea but did have to go out for food etc and clean up on top of doing a full days worth of work.
Jack and Margaret are still around,they live near Weymouth now.Mr Pearson the teacher was my dad,he died in 2001 and mum died in 2013.Your last name is familiar to me.
