  1. You know what they say Nonna. In America, they allus have to go one better. No doubt when you get your temperatures drop, Katyjay will get an Ice Age !
  2. Living the high life eh Willow. Some people know how to push the boat out.
  3. Thanks for the clarification Phil. Much obliged.
  4. That area, between Skegness and Mablethorpe must have the largest concentration of holiday caravans on the planet. How can you sit and relax if you're in the middle of one of those sites? Do the owners supply you with a satnav or some other navigation aid, if you decide to go for a walk. Must admit I was getting confused. When I looked on 'maps' I thought it were somewhere near Newark. Is there two Winthorpes then?
  5. Wouldn't be surprised if he's got a copy of "Fly Fishing" by J.R.Hartley.
  6. Would have thought that was the buying price.
  7. Do people actually still go to Winthorpe to holiday Carni? Ps.When we are eventually released from high risk self isolation, are there any decent b + b in Nottingham?
  8. There used to be a transport cafe in the middle Of Donnington, Lincs. I used to take great delight in asking for egg and chips and if they were doing roast beef dinners, i would ask for gravy on my egg! Much to their disgust.
  9. Katyjay, following on from your experience with the butterfly. When we were at our sons funeral, after the church service we walked behind the coffin toward the grave. Now in that 13th century church they kept a flock of Jacob sheep, who used to run away when being approached. As we passed by their fence they ALL came to the fence and just stood there. Not only that but the church cat followed us to the graveside and sat at the edge until the service was over and didn't move until we dispersed.
  10. Hi Brew, I tend to do it with a ,' belt and braces' attitude. At the plug end, I exchange the original to a plug with built in circuit breaker. Although I'm not likely to run over the lead with a hover mower indoors.
  11. Hi Nonna, hope you are doing ok. Tina firmly believes in butterflies being spirits. When we get one flying near, she insists it's our youngest boy come to visit. Hopefully have attached your Red Admiral. Not a good shot as it wouldn't stay still. Regards, B.
  12. Quite right Col., just sat here looking at my tv unit and I have a 6 gang extension from one socket, but that goes for, tv, little dvd player, micro hifi unit( used as a sound system for crap tv speakers), and bubble tube lamp, leaving two spares, one of which I use for charging my ereader and tablet. Should imagine if I had 'em all on it would be less than 3 amps.
  13. Morning Col., I did something similar when wanting to run an ethernet lead to my pc,which is in what should be our second bedroom. But as we're not allowed guests to stay with us, I've made the room my man cave cum studio/office. I drilled a hole straight through to where I know where the pc sits and connected at the hub then just pushed the other end through the wall and plugged into said pc. There are nowhere near enough power sockets in our apartment, so I just use 4 or 6 port extensions and put them discretely out of site. But I make sure never to exceed a safe load.
  14. Thought I might add one of mine. Peacock
  15. Here's the other one. Not sussed out how to do two at once. Enjoy . B.x nb.Hope you don't mind me taking liberties Col.
  16. Here you go Kath, one of Cols pictures. Next one coming up. B.
  17. Were they all told to keep their hands folded, do you think?
  18. I'll bet that poor lad is still walking. Wonder if his mam knew he took the bike?
  19. No preference Kath, you just munch 'em and try to remember Nibbits ! NB. Just stocked up today, 'er indoors is happy now.
  20. Can't remember which thread it were on, so here you go, I've dumped it on here. No doubt some clever boffin will move it if need be. On the subject of Pom Bears, I've just had a delivery from Iceland (other shops are available) of two multi packs of Pom Bears and my Broadband is back online after 4weeks, so I'm a happy bunny !
  21. Thought you meant Sussex. How terribly amiss of me.
  22. Try living in Sussex SG. They still think I'm a foreigner even after 33 years. Love to ask 'em if they've mashed. Still, at least I no longer have to show me passport at the Thames crossings. Just renewed my EHIC card, so hope it works oop Nottingham.
  23. I used to go to Jacksdale with my pal John Furness, when he used to visit his Aunt & Uncle. We always went to swim in Jacksdale reservoir if the weather was nice. Must have been about 12/13ish at the time. Wouldn't know where to find it now. No doubt Mary1947 could tell me. (or Jill Sparrow will tell me off for polluting the water).
