Sorry Brew, but I will have to put me matches away for another time. My letter finally arrived this morning, totally sodden and dripping wet. 'Er indoors also got her letter at the same time. Does this mean, being almost 80, that I am now recognised as a pensioner?

Surely it all depends on what sort of watch you possess. Some of mine, when the battery fails I just get another watch. Never bought an expensive watch, can't see the point as I'm always breaking them any road. Sometimes, I even lose 'em.

@trogg, Only 'cos it's next door to Costa so anybody taking pity you could buy you a coffee and doughnut. :-)

Heyup Trogg, lad. Lewes is about 7 miles E.N.E. of Brighton. It is our County town. I could book you a doorway on Cliff High street, which is not too far from Harveys brewery. A good spot would be outside Specsavers, with plenty of footfall. Bring your own matches though and I'll dye some string for laces.

No Flamin' sign of mine as yet. I'll have to go down to Lewes and sell matches and bootlaces.

Hooray !! It's my 5th NS Birthday today. Happy Buthday 2 me.

Talking of age and birthdays, tomorrow will be my Nottstalgia 5th birthday. And they said it would never last ! Can't believe I'm 4 years older than Arnold Schwatsisname and Trogg, apparently.

I have the dubious pleasure of owning two BP monitors, one manual and one electronic. Use on myself and for 'er indoors when I do her weekly record, doing it twice a day. Did suggest to her that if the cuff hurt her arm I could always try it on her neck and inflate it there. I don't think she was too amused with that one !

Fair comment mate. Thing is nowadays it's open season and anything goes with todays films. Think of 'Saving Private Ryan' and 'We Were Soldiers'. The worst Iv'e seen was Mel Gibsons film 'The Passion of the Christ'.

Why were that Brew, did you get bored? Or had you remembered you should have been at work.

Watch the Exorcist SG., or maybe the Omen. We watched 'Soldier Blue' thursday evening, which was quite an eye opener when it came out many years ago. Took my sis in law to see it ( wife did'nt want to go) and the lady in the kiosk said, 'Is your daughter old enough?' So if you want to watch a scary, I'll bring the popcorn.

This all makes me feel quite guilty to say we've been sitting out in the sun today ! 'Er indoors has her 80th buthday on Sunday, but we might only finish up in a garden centre for lunch. Take care, yo folks oop North.
