Gutted been told @ work today that my local The Wollaton Pub & Kitchen was 1 year old on Friday just gone .... & all the beer was free !!

Quarter to one Sat/Sun morning it was shut when i was going to go in its usually open !

Coach & Horses was closed last night strange that always a busy pub ? There's also the Federation Soul Club Federation House Claremont Road Sherwood 1st Saturday of the month.

Used to love the annual free gift from SHOOT football magazine "Shoot League Ladders" This consisted of a thin card sheet on which were printed blank league tables for each division of The Football League, with a slit in the card alongside each position on the tables. Also given away were T-shaped "tabs" for each club in the league (printed in the appropriate team colours) which could be fitted into the slits to indicate where each team currently stood in the league table. As the season progressed and teams moved up and down the table, their tabs could be moved to new slits accordingly. Spent

Cheap shelf ... its actually sliced @ the deli counter !! And I'm sure it was one sixty odd for four slices !! I've made up for my poverty as a kid I'm now allowed to put butter on both sides of my bread. Just spoke to my mar says it was malt & cod liver oil finished by saying "done you two no harm" he must have had more than me being built like a brick sh1t-house , me weighing in just under eleven stone.

Haslett had it last week from Sainsburys @ Castle marina with lurpak & HP sauce. Not sure what it did but everyday my mar gave me & my brother a spoon full of some malt extract , not even sure now if i liked it or not ?

We had some relative that used to deliver for Pandora Pickles so we had boxes full of that & tinned tarantella tomatoes dumped in the back alley. Strange no orange sandwiches mentioned ?

The problem with sharing the bucket-in-the bedroom that if you can't be bothered to pick it up - wet carpet & bare feet !! Plus five pints of pi55 & a wet handle was deadly , having just one bath a week you did get quite whiffy! Can any remember as a kid being bathed in the kitchen sink ?

We used have a bloke down the Variety that only drank bottled Guinness , but not if it was bottled by Skinner & Rook ? While in town yesterday afternoon noticed The old Bench & Bar now Fashion lounge bar back end of broad march is now an empty shell ? But The Cross Keys & the top of Byard Lane is about to be refurbished, reopened and reinvigorated under the stewardship of local publicans Great Northern Inns.
