Trevor S 2,003
Mr Compo, please may I have a picture of the pier? Can anybody access Bygones on the internet or do you have to subscribe??
Michael Booth 7,364
Hello Trevor S, I view an Internet site where you can read the British newspapers. It's 99.9% free but a couple of newspapers do charge a minimal fee. The popular papers like the Sun, Mail and Mirror etc. are all free. To read the Nottingham Post just follow these instructions. 1/ www.wrx.zen.co.uk/britnews.htm 2/ Britsh Newspapers: UK national and local newspapers online. 3/ North of England 4/ Nottingham Evening Post Open the sites in this order and you should be ok. When you open 2 you will see all the British newspapers and you just click on the one that you wish to read.
.... 24
You don't need to go through that site to view the Nottingham Post website, just google the name. Where does it allow you to view Bygones, Compo?
Michael Booth 7,364
No, I know Stu but because he lives in Australia I was giving Trevor S the option of reading all the British newspapers, not just the Post. Once your on the site you just Bookmark it for future visits.
.... 24
Ah I see Michael, sorry I had misquoted you as Compo also. So is it possible to view Bygones anywhere on the Post site I wonder?
katyjay 5,094
I've tried and failed. I don't know why they won't put it on-line.
Compo 10,334
I now get my copy mailed by a friend in Nottingham.
Trevor S 2,003
Thanks Michael, that site is now bookmarked and will make for some interesting reading. In line with Katyjay and Compo's remarks, I reckon the answer is to subscribe, beg, borrow or steal issues of Bygones as I could not find any access whatsoever to an on-line version. Any picture Compo?................... and by the way, your avatar is missing!
