Intercon ......... I was there on the opening night, early 70's, went to a private party in a side room. Pans People were performing that night, along with (possibly) Hot Chocolate or maybe Lou Christie. I saw both there at some stage. I believe it's name changed a few years later.

By 1982/83 it was called Zhivago's. On Tuesday's they had a rock night 10p a pint for a time carried on 12 pint crates! Well you can imagine how it tasted! Also gigs. A couple of bands I remember are Hanoi rocks and a poor quo clone called spider

Yeah confusion was a little earlier...Late 70's? Which fits with Louie Louie. Always liked their cover of the Pink Fairies city kids b side of the single motorhead. Got it on Big Beat white vinyl a porky prime cut
