Cliff Ton 10,467
Quite the opposite. I've made that a live link because it originally would have required a cut-and-paste to get there.
Ayupmeducks 1,730
The problem with FB groups, is nothing is truly archived that's posted and within weeks is extremely difficult to find, assuming anyone looks for it. Forums reign supreme when it comes to dedicated historic or dedicated information.
MelissaJKelly 2,121
I have just joined the group I also 'like' a few pages on Facebook relating to Nottingham as well. I always say I'll share interesting posts and pictures from them for members who don't use Facebook but I never get round to it... it's on my to-do list.,

Robbie 39
Not being too savvy about facebook, in fact I have heard some quite damming reports about both facebook and twitter and would never consider or contributing to such sites. What I am coming to is it possible for posts/pictures from this site to be exported onto facebook by any member without obtaining prior approval?
Ayupmeducks 1,730
Everything on this site is copyright, photo's are copyright to their owner, photos have been posted here with acknowledgment to their owner...ie nottingham past etc. Best way to stop copyright infringement is to "watermark" a photo, or reduce the images data size, so when copied it deteriorates with each successful copying.
ptmike 2
Many thanks for the link. Just a point about the Nottingham fb that 17000 like it is a like page which means the administrator controls what will be shown on the page with no natural ebb and flow which is a feature of a group. fb is never to everybodies liking but the one pleasure of the group is that you never know what will appear next and it is all in one spot. Also you can post pictures directly and don't have to photobucket a strange link to post a pic. Don't get me wrong I know and do post in this way to various websites but sometimes the easy fb way is easier. cheers Mike
ptmike 2
on the point of archival you can create albums which are easily retrievable Ayeupmeduck
