Yes. Good old Norman Vaughan, died in 2002

Popular British entertainer. Best remembered as host of "Sunday Night at the Palladium", where he coined the catchphrases "dodgy" and "swinging". He also hosted "The Golden Shot" and advertised Cadbury's Roses.

Cause of death: Effects of car accident.

He's on the right here (but who is the other guy?)

Yes that's Arthur. His dummy was more famous than him?

Is that Ray Allen? Who is the other dummy?

I am sure there were a few more Vents in the 50's 60's & 70's.

Can anyone remember any others

Hi de Hi was remarkably true to life. So many parallels with my time as a Bluecoat.

As for stories. Well we had an entertainments manager sacked for running a fiddle and then there are the juicier ones that are not suitable for such a wholesome environment as Nottsalgia. Suffice to say one or two involve mothers and daughters "enjoying" themselves together :o

Cheers,

Bamber

Anyone guess how I got the user name Bamber. The answer is out there :P
