Best remembered as host of "Sunday Night at the Palladium", where he coined the catchphrases "dodgy" and "swinging". He also hosted "The Golden Shot" and advertised Cadbury's Roses. I bet you have a few stories to tell hey?? I remember Neville King really well, & that horrible old puppet Hi de Hi was remarkably true to life. So many parallels with my time as a Bluecoat. As for stories. Well we had an entertainments manager sacked for running a fiddle and then there are the juicier ones that are not suitable for such a wholesome environment as Nottsalgia.
