Bought this tree from Morrisons a few years ago.

Height Its now up above first floor of the house, and full of fruit.

I've had it so long I forgot what it is?

Its not a plumb, but something similar.

Can anyone identify it?

These are not yet ripe

Had a few last year but cant remember what colour they were.

The branches have some brown hard aphid type things on them?

Greenfly with flickknives , whatever next ?

Looks like a Greengage to me, failing that Almond.

Could be an almond tree, our walnuts look like that before they are fully ripe.

Looks like a greengage to me and if it is consider yourself lucky; because the fruit of this tree when ripe can taste as sweet as honey from the bee. :happy: So find out what it is - if you haven't already done so - and if it is a greengage, guard it and look after it. :happy:

If they were wolley aphis ( had some on an apple tree once) ladybirds love em and i got up one morning tp find the tree covered in ladybirds munching away on them

It's not a walnut, different leaves, I'm surrounded by black walnut trees and they look very similar to "white" walnut trees. Agreed the fruit bears a strong resemblance to walnuts.
