  1. I can remember when Nottingham Had THREE bus stations Mount Street,Broad Marsh & Huntingdon Street.

  3. You will have to be 50+ to have any realistic memories of Victoria Station closed 1967.......................45 years ago later this year. I liked spotting at the "Victoria" in preference to the "Midland"

  7. The Nottingham Contemporary (pictured post nine) blocks the tunnel mouth at the Weekday Cross. If you go up the steps at the end of Cliff Road(Narrow Marsh) you will see what I mean these steps are where Middle Hill & Garners Hill would have been.
  8. Broad Marsh to Victoria Centre walkway? What's wrong with Bridlesmith Gate - High Street - Clumber Street? Known as the Golden mile.(Lots of shops on the way) The Nottingham Contemporary (pictured post nine) blocks the tunnel mouth at the Weekday Cross end of the Thurland Street Tunnel.

  12. No it's not its Cheapside. South Parade is from Kirks Yard(side of the Flying Horse) to Wheeler Gate. The Poultry is in the other direction up to Bridlesmith Gate.

  14. Both my mother's parents were born on Gate Street Radford Woodhouse in 1887. I don,t know where my father's parents were born.(grandfather born 1900) My mother was born on Guthrie Street in August 1929 but moved to Middleton Street when she was three months old. My father was born on Dulwich Street in 1926(d1992). Mother & Father were married in 1948 & I was born in 1949 & lived in Carlton & Gedling till 1967.

  22. Old building ?? it was finished in 1929 and is known as "The Council House" that side of it is known as "Smithy Row"
