  1. The Beeston site will probably just become a distribution centre
  2. Sandicliffe? Something was on fire recently in that area wasn't it? Lortas Road perhaps?
  3. Yes I have been and I wish you hadn't reminded me of it. What's that road that leads to it? - longest cul-de-sac in the world. It was about 20 years ago when I went but was totally deprived. Went in a Co-op and the stock was just put on the shelves still left in the boxes
  4. Derby is a filthy 'oppit. Still can't work out how come is was granted City status
  5. Hissing down in Eastwood at the mo'
  6. The link you copy on paste given on Photobucket as at least twice the length of the one on TinyPics. most of the P/Bucket one is repeated
  7. Well there is my recommendation. If you have got a problem with P/Bucket go to TinyPics and upload yer pics to there - it's easy peasy.
  8. Just to prove that I can do it more than once. These were taken earlier this year:
  9. Signed up for TinyPics. easier to use than P/Bucket but same 'orrible flashing ads. I am on a different computer so a different pic but it is at least on Wollaton Park
  10. Yes I suppose you are right. Are we compelled by Forum Law to use Photobucket? Is it worth having a go using Flickr?
  11. I am using Chrome. I have tried using Explorer but the result is the same. It must be a problem with this forum

  16. It was pre 6 digit numbers --- I think ?
  17. Well it was me dad's half brother actually. Now what is this story you know?
  18. It gets worse. My father Rex Harvey NOT of the Musters Hotel also had a brother named Charles although he was know by his second name Stan.
  19. Hello and welcome Stan. My parents and myself as a wee bairn lived at 32 Ford Street St. Mary approx 1957 to July 1959 when we moved out to Eastwood. I wasn't quite a 3 year old when we left so I can't help you with the names you mention. My parents frequently told me stories of Jack Carlisle's shop - must have been on a street corner somewhere near to Ford Street. For some reason even now I can remember number 32 quite well even though we never went back there after we left.
