On cliff tons map where it says 'lodge' in Barkers wood,that was an old Bulwell stone' building which in the 50s and 60s was used as dressing rooms for the football pitches.

THINGS THAT ANNOY HER. Making casual conversation with complete strangers. speakin Spanish on holday.(when i can't really.) Fumbling with small change at check-outs Telling old jokes,that shes heard a million times. Wearing a Tie when its hot. Watching or listening to the news. Buying too many newspapers Going on holiday without her. the list goes on,whats up with the woman?

SINCE retiring and spending alot more time at home,ive noticed some annoying traits in the wife which in the previous 30 years i had'nt,mind you shes pointed out that even i have one or two.

Books of which i have hundreds (mostly factual) are becoming obsolete are'nt they,everything you want to know is on the internet,my books now are more or less ornaments,the Grandkids say get rid' grandad,but i cant do it,even the wife now says it,. It brought it home again with bubblewraps previous post,my 'Little OXFORD dictionary of Quotations' dont need it do i?

I was the 'Granville' for 'Marsdens' up and the hills of old Bestwood est ,that also was hard work,and looking back i liken it to life ever since,thats had many ups and downs. -

All those places are outside the City (i think carlton is) so east side of Forest would be St Andrews churchish,thats not far from Hyson Greenish
