  1. Can not see going to a garden centre in January too cold i have just been outside th shovel a bit of snow the temperature is -34 the windchill is -51 i am staying inside now in front of the fire with my moggy and wife oops i forgot to cover the tomatoes in the garden.

Jill theres a place i forgot Hole in the Wall at Underwood i used to cycle from Nuthall to Underwood where my friend lived just over the hill past the Hole in the Wall on Wilhallow Lane next to the old farm if it is still there this was in the early 60s and quite a bike ride there and back with all those hills especially the one from Moorgreen res. to Underwood it was much easier getting there after i passed my driving test in 1964 glad to here the place is still there. Is the Horse and Groom still a good place to go we have been there a few times when we visit the uk and we have to Reuben Sha
  3. I came to Canada in 1970 joined my parents here they came to Canada in 1968 they lived in Moose Jaw Saskatchewan i stayed there for six months then moved to Regina Saskatchewan for a good job as a Millwright where i worked for fifty three years Canada has been very good to me and my family.

  6. I was born in Wakefield lived in Pontefract then off to Radford Nottm then to Nuthall Notts then a big move to Moosejaw Canada then to Regina Canada still here i dont know what i am no one understands me not even the wife which is ok.

  9. All i know is my Grandma and Grandad lived on Denman st.until the late forties when they moved to Nuthall and thats where i began life.

  13. It does not if its plunber you need or medical person its the same old run around. I have to get a syste removed from chest saw the surgeon in October he told me we will call in six weeks here we are in January so i phoned last Friday the receptionist said had fell through the cracks we will call you Monday it is now 3:40 and nothing yet,what is the world come to?
  14. Yes very difficult to get an oppointment and a long wait we had to travel 350 miles round trip for our Jills biopsy when we have the main cancer clinic 2 miles down the road.
  15. Not so Happy New Year to you hope you get over it without going to the vet and thak goodness it was not covid though i think some of these coughs and wheezing are a spin off of it take lots of Benalin if you can get it there stay warm and take care and keep away from crowds.

  17. Sorry folks it was Julie Andrews not Princess Anne the wife corrected me old age is catching up to me.
  18. Another icon gone my father in law worked a Raleigh on Triumph rd. in the early 50s he presented Princess Anne with a bike on their Royal Tour.
