He developed and patented tarmac in 1902 and called his company Tar Macadam. FLY2 10,109 Posted May 8, 2016 Report Share Posted May 8, 2016 There must be a multitude of inventions that we never hear of , such as the drugs, ointments, medicines and cosmetics which have been developed at such places as Boots, The University Hospital and QMC etc. Also at Ericssons / Plessey, the fully all electronic telephone exchange.
