DaveN 1,118
Photos to take you back to the 60's on Nottingham on the Post's website. http://www.nottinghampost.com/pictures/Nottingham-1960s-Photos-year-decade/pictures-26728519-detail/pictures.html#1
katyjay 5,091
Loved the link. Thanks for that DaveN. I wonder if any of our members are sitting on that wall in #51?
Cliff Ton 10,512
#41 had me stumped for a while. It's described as Nottingham Road towards Albert Street. Worked out it's Stapleford, which is only just Nottingham.
Merthyr Imp 729
I'd dispute #7 as being 1961 as there is an AEC Renown visible and they were not introduced until 1965.
NewBasfordlad 3,599
Following that thread I came across a set of pics for the 70s and bogger me there is SWMBO with Harry Seegoon.
TBI 2,351
The Elite is I'd dispute #7 as being 1961 as there is an AEC Renown visible and they were not introduced until 1965. Not sure, the white-coated bobbies and vehicles generally seem more 1961. Also the Elite is showing The Guns of Navarone which came out in 1961. Actually, just noticed the FB Victor estate which didn't come out until 1961, that one certainly doesn't look like a brand-spanker.
mick2me 3,033
Before I read #2, I posted a topic showing the image. Trainspotters at Nottingham Victoria Station in August 1964
Merthyr Imp 729
#6 Maybe the film was a re-release at the Elite? Fact is, the AEC Renown hadn't even been invented in 1961 let alone any been sold to NCT (which happened in 1965). Also, there are two Regent Vs visible in the later version of the new livery, which I don't think you would have seen in 1961.

TBI 2,351
#8 Yes I agree, as I say, the scruffy looking Victor didn't come out until '61.
