Stan 386
No one from our expat community?? Go on then some one local fill 'em in !!! You had me completely baffled.Beefy. I tried to think of numerous links between Robert Stubley`s dragon,Smaug from middle earth, and the colonials like myself, but could not. I know that one of the finest sculptors alive is an Australian, working in UK(the chap who produced Cloughy`s statue),but could not find a connection to Stubley.(Maybe he like other ozzies does not shave?) Any how,Mr.Rob T `gorritt so well done. !clapping! The Sneinton Dragon stands at the junction of Colwick Loop Road and Sneinton Hermitage in Nottingham.
Beefsteak 305
It is indeed a fantastic looking piece (I for one could certainly give it house room) . I grabbed the pic from my car as I was sat at the lights , so I had no time to pose it or any thing . Anybody any idea about how long it's been there? or even why a dragon??
