jackson 301
Excellent, no denying but Bill Haley took the song on to another level: Fantastic.
Michael Booth 7,364
That's true, jackson but then Elvis Presley recorded it in 1956 and took it to a level that nobody else could reach. You will find that most of the early 50's and 60's Rock & Roll songs had been recorded previously by singers like Big Joe Turner. All the versions were good but all a different style. Michael Booth 7,364
Turn the mute off, denshaw. If it is off check your ear plugs. If neither of these apply then I guess you are telling me you don't like it. If that's the case then you shouldn't be listening to music on the 'Rock And Roll' thread....lol

mudgie49 401
Watched a documentary last night about Wanda Jackson, this lady was, and still is, the first lady of Rock n Roll,(in my humble opinion).
Michael Booth 7,364
Wanda Jackson was a very pretty lady who made some great recordings. I remember her most for 'Mean, Mean Man' and this one 'Let's Have A Party' from 1960.
