  1. Thanks. My Tapatalk is doing strange things sometimes since the last update.
  2. It obviously realised that with us lot on the case it was going to have to give it's secrets up.
  3. Indeed. I Cant think of any other councils that covered two unconnected areas though.
  4. I have no idea why your friends think you've 'probably ' corrupted it. You are as likely to have done nothing at all if you didn't manage a transfer. What did you plug the card into? I have a card reader that Wil fit it if you want me to check it out for you.
  5. I'd be surprised if camera software from 2004 will work on a modern computer.
  6. The land Clifton estate was built in was, prior to that, within the old Old Basford RDC. Oddly that council covered land north and south of the city, split by other councils. Clifton was transferred in iirc 1974.
  7. I think it was more straight forward than that. When the Corporation wanted to build more homes, that's the land that was available. Of course land being then owned by the City, it had to be included in the city or all the rates would have gone to Old Basford Rural District Council.
  8. The City has defined boundaries. Clifton is within them. West Bridgford isn't. Neither are Carlton or Arnold. Generations making the trek to the Ram at 10.30 for a last pint before 11 will bear witness.
  9. My favourite so far is that he's been bought by Borussia Munchoncentreback.
  10. Of course it's really hard for anyone but me to know where the centre of the universe is. I move around.
  11. I just tried one method using a petanque app. If you place the largest circle possible inside the city boundaries, the centre seems to be around where Nottingham Rd crosses the Ring Rd.
  12. That was where the ring road and Nuthall Rd cross, where the overhead traffic lights are instead now. It was full of trees so you had no chance of seeing if anything was coming before you set off onto the roundabout.
  13. On the subject of forgotten comedians, the best one I've ever seen, and I saw him live loads of times was......damn. Can't remember his name.
  14. If you were to watch a Dutch U11 training session you'd find it wholly different from one here. A typical session here at that age will involve lots of drills such as passing, dribbling, shooting etc. All skill based with no decisions needed by the player. In Holland ( and most European countries) you are more likely to see game-play after a technical session and speed work. There will be lots of 2v1, 3v3 and 4v4 work which will involve repetition but within a fluid situation so decision making at speed becomes a habit. Whilst our players, as they get older, may well be able to pass the ball w
  15. I'm not sure restricting the number of foreigners will really benefit our players. The standard in the Premiership would then just drop to the level that an all-British league would be at, i.e. lower. The experience our players would get would only be the same as in a lower division without the foreign players to test themselves against. British players already get the chance to play at whatever level they are capable of. Let's just look at Liverpool as an example, Johnson, Gerrard, Henderson, Sturridge, Sterling, Kelly and Flanagan all get regular time when fit. The problem IMO is that our ki
  16. It's a lot better if you skip the first half.
  17. OK. I'll look on the bright side. At least we're not Scotland.
  18. That's the only stage you CAN watch England games.
  19. I'm still not sure I've managed to explain it very well either. It seems obvious in my head until I try and express it.
  20. Don't know. It's impossible to be on the square he takes away each time so there's only one possible outcome. Some squares are an odd number of moves away however you move so if he stops with an even number those squares can't be the one you are on. He then takes away one of those squares and then changes to an even count and removes an odd square etc. Change the squares to black and white like a chess chess board and it becomes obvious. If you start on a black and make an even number of moves you will always end up on a black again. So he removes a white. Then has you make an odd number of mo
  21. It's pretty simple maths really, or 'magician's force. Anyone who didn't end up on the smiley face messed up somewhere because it's impossible not to be.
  22. We're all on our best behaviour sometimes, it's just that for some of us, our best is really not very good.
  23. Very nice of you to say so, thanks. I tend to drift in and out of posting on most forums. This one started to get a tad argumentative so I dipped out for a while.
