Welcome ! FWIW I used to drive 1,7 & 22 buses in the mid seventies, can remember a bloke who lived at the Rosslyn Drive terminus & woe betide anyone who left the engine running at the terminus, he would be out like a flash !

Their garage was not the NCT one but the garage at the bottom of Piccadilly/Highbury Vale, later became ATS tyres. That bus service was later operated by Skills.

There's still is a nudist camp within the grounds of Newstead Abbey.

Prior to 1986, before de-regulation, only NCT could pick up & drop off within the city boundary.

Recently there was a topic on here about broadband speed, I can no longer find it ! My broadband seemed a bit faster today so did another check & looks like Virgin Media have doubled the speed as promised ! Now D/L speed 58.70 U/L speed 2.9 Thank you Virgin Media !!!!

Other day got the house contents insurance reminder come through the post. After Mrs Catfan lifted me off the floor I decided to have a look around on the net for a few comparison quotes. Most of em were a lot cheaper than my existing insurer (Llyoyds TSB). Eventually chose Saga, better cover as well. Lloyds TSB £223.96. Saga £88.68. Strangely enough when I checked online with Lloyds TSB I could have the same cover for £96. 87 ! Now looking at these figures it doesn't need a degree in maths to see that this is a blatant rip off. Yes I remember him ! From a dental point of view of course ! As well as having a surgery at Netherfield he worked part time at a practice in Bulwell as well. I was a patient of his about ten or twelve years ago & remember him being stabbed by his boyfriend. The boyfriend got two years for manslaughter if memory serves me right. The dentist's name was Michael Lymn, an absolutely first class dentist as well.
